Russia offers help in Iran-Pakistan pipeline

Karachi—Russia is keen to help Pakistan build its section of the multi-billion dollar Iran-Pakistan natural gas pipeline by providing financial and technical support despite US sanctions on Iran. Russian state-owned energy giant Gazprom, or one of its subsidiaries, will “soon” formally contact the Pakistan government on the IP gas pipeline project, with the aim to speed up the much-delayed project, an official with Pakistan’s petroleum ministry said Monday.
