摘要

Cape Town—East Africa’s booming oil and gas sector suffered two setbacks on Monday as UK company Premier Oil said it was quitting a Kenya exploration block and fellow UK explorer Tullow Oil came up dry with a muchwatched exploration well in Ethiopia. Premier said it had withdrawn from exploration block L10A—operated by BG Group— after a review of the asset. “Having conducted a further exploration review, Premier has withdrawn from Block L10A, offshore Kenya,” it said in a statement.
