Karachi—Pakistan is looking at a new policy that will make it mandatory for producers to prioritize LPG supply to planned LPG air mix plants as the country strives to find new ways to tackle its widening gas supply deficit. Under the new policy, producers will be allowed to sell LPG to licensed marketing companies, who in turn sell the fuel to households and transport sectors, only if LPG air mix plants are unable to buy the product, an official with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said February 26.
