Shell, Kinder Morgan JV for LNG exports from Elba

London—Shell and Kinder Morgan plan to create a joint company to develop a LNG export project in two phases at the existing Elba Island LNG terminal near Savannah, Georgia. The companies plan to modify El Paso’s Elba Express Pipeline and the Elba Island LNG terminal in order to ship gas to the terminal, liquefy it and export it, Kinder Morgan unit El Paso Pipeline Partners said January 28.
