Norway’s DNO to supply gas to Kurdish power plant

London—Norwegian group DNO International has signed a gas sales and purchase agreement with the semi-autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government to supply gas from the Summail field to a 500-MW power plant. DNO said the gas would help displace diesel currently used to generate electricity at the Dohuk plant, 40 km (25 miles) from the field. Oslo-listed DNO said initial deliveries would be around 100,000 Mcf/d, sold on a take-or-pay basis for the duration of the Dohuk Production Sharing Contract or until deliveries reached 1 Tcf.
