Trader Gaz Ukrayina closes in on Odessa refinery

Kiev—Ukrainian trader Gaz Ukrayina is close to finalizing the purchase of Lukoil’s 80,000 b/d Odessa refinery in the south of the country for some $200 million as speculation intensifies the plant could restart next month. Ukraine’s Zerkalo Nedeli newspaper quoted an unnamed source February 27 as saying Gaz Ukrayina was in the last stages of the acquisition process.
