India sees 14% jump in crude oil imports

Singapore—India’s crude oil imports in August rose 13.8% year on year to 17.11 million mt, or an average 4.05 million b/d, on the back of strong run rates at the country’s private and state-owned refiners, latest data from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell showed. Crude oil imports in August was the highest since May this year when the country imported 17.18 million mt and was 4.3% above July imports of 16.42 million mt.
