Tokyo—Japan’s gasoline exports in the coming months are expected to remain near the relatively high levels seen over the past month, with the national Golden Week holiday unlikely to boost sluggish domestic fuel demand. The country’s refiners exported 43,000 b/d of gasoline in the four weeks to April 20, nearly double the 22,000 b/d seen in the same period a year ago, according to Platts calculations using the latest available data from the Petroleum Association of Japan.
