Alberta gas producers need better facilities: Pembina

Calgary—Gas producers in Alberta are in greater need of processing and pipeline facilities in the province, as they ramp up investments in liquids-rich plays in the Western Canadian Sedimentary basin, the CEO of a Canadian midstream player said Monday. The potential for these midstream facilities is “significant” over the next three to five years, as a growing number of customers require processing capacity for liquids and pipelines to transport NGL, Bob Michaleski of Calgary-based Pembina Pipeline Corp. said on a conference call to discuss the company’s second quarter 2013 earnings.
