Poland relaxes tax regime in new draft law

Warsaw—Poland’s finance ministry has relaxed some of the terms of its planned taxation policy in its long-awaited draft law on hydrocarbon production. The draft law, published late February 28, introduces some changes to the basic assumptions announced last October. In October, Poland issued a document laying out the assumptions of the draft law, but the final version was hotly anticipated by companies waiting to find out whether there would be any amendments to the original plan.
