Rosneft, with TNK-BP, sees giant Q1 output jump

Moscow—Russia’s Rosneft published a giant production number for the first quarter of 2013—a market-leading 4.804 million b/d of oil equivalent—a pro forma total calculated by adding together Rosneft’s production and that of its newly acquired TNK-BP unit. Rosneft, which finalized its takeover of TNK-BP only on March 21, said the total combined output for the first quarter was an 82.4% increase over its production in Q1 2012.
