摘要

Houston—Callon Petroleum said its board has authorized the company to offer its last remaining deepwater Gulf of Mexico (GOM) assets—a 15% stake in the Medusa deepwater field and 10% interest in the Medusa Spar. The move further marks the Natchez, Mississippi-based Callon’s transition from a long-time Gulf of Mexico player to a US onshore producer. The Medusa field is operated by Murphy Oil who has a 60% stake. The Medusa was discovered in 1998 in 2,200 feet of water. Eni holds the remaining 25%.
