Most 2012 OPEC oil exports went to Asia

London—The bulk of OPEC members’ crude exports last year went to Asian and Pacific countries, the oil producer group said as it released data for 2012. OPEC’s 12 members exported an average 25.28 million b/d last year, and 14.4 million b/d or 57.1% went to countries in the Asia- Pacific region, the Vienna secretariat said in the Annual Statistical Bulletin on Monday. Exports to North America totaled 4.5 million b/d, or 18.3%, while volumes to Europe totaled 4.1 million b/d, or 16.3%.
