New York—The backwardation in the front of the NYMEX RBOB futures curve has widened over the past week as supplies of gasoline in US Atlantic Coast continue to decline. The October/November RBOB spread settled at 10.13 cents/gal September 19, up from 7.9 cents/gal a week ago. At about the same time in 2011, the backwardation was around 2-3 cents/gal.
