US lawmakers eye new round of unilateral sanctions

Washington-As the European Union imple- ments tougher sanctions on the Iranian regime, US lawmakers are considering a new round of unilateral sanctions, including provi- sions aimed at shippers. Lawmakers are also increasing pressure on the administration to impose the sanctions on the Central Bank of Iran that President Barack Obama signed into law last month.
