London-BP reported a 14% year-on-year rise in adjusted earnings for the fourth quarter of 2011 as it raised its dividend payments for the first time since reinstating payouts in the wake of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. But Europe's second-biggest oil major also flagged falling production this year as it continues to shed assets while uncertainties over its final liabilities for the historic spill continue to weigh on investor sentiment.
