Washington—US biofuels groups have launched a national advertising campaign to defend the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) against long-standing attacks from the oil industry and livestock groups, as a severe Midwestern drought has amplified opposition to the policy. Fuels America, a new coalition, will run ads in Colorado, Ohio, Delaware, Montana and Washington, DC. The group declined to say how much it would spend or how long the campaign would run.
