NIOC exploration director removed from long-held job

Tehran—The National Iranian Oil Company has removed exploration director Mahmoud Mohaddes from the job he has held for more than 20 years, the latest in a series of high-level changes in the sanctions-hit energy sector. The semi-official Mehr news agency said NIOC Managing Director Ahmad Ghalehbani had appointed Mohammad Ali Etefaghi as caretaker exploration director.
