OPEC's Badri sees crude volatility on Iran adjustment

London-OPEC Secretary General Abdalla el- Badri warned January 30 that oil prices were likely to be volatile over the next few months as markets adjust to new European Union sanc- tions on Iran that will remove 450,000-500,000 b/d of Iranian crude from European markets. At the same time, Saudi Arabian oil minis- ter Ali Naimi said Riyadh's continuing oil sector investment meant the kingdom would continue to be a reliable supplier of oil to world markets with capacity to handle future supply shortages.
