Latest senate Keystone Xl bill would limit lawsuits

Washington-US Senate Republicans pro- posed legislation January 30 to give Con- gress, not the executive branch, permitting authority over the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline. Unlike earlier bills to speed approval of the Alberta-to-Texas project, the legislation attempts to limit possible lawsuits springing from the permit.
