Thai July oil, product imports drop 7% from June

Bangkok—Thailand’s crude and product imports dropped 7.1% month on month in July to 865,000 b/d, data from the Department of Energy Business showed. The lower imports were partly due to the rainy season eroding consumption by the transportation sector and rising oil prices discouraging use, the department’s directorgeneral, Viraphol Jirapraditkul, told a press conference August 22.
