Dhaka, Bangladesh—State-run Petrobangla has proposed raising the price of natural gas for power plants, fertilizer factories, tea gardens, industries and CNG filling stations this month to meet rising exploration and development costs. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission is set to soon conduct a hearing on Petrobangla’s proposal after which it will recommend the extent of the price hike, BERC member Salim Mahmud said October 8.
