US retail gasoline sales dip 1.1% below year ago

Houston—US retail sales of gasoline totaled 61.053 million barrels and were down by 1.1% for the week ended September 28, down 1.1% from a year ago, MasterCard Advisors said. The MasterCard SpendingPulse survey data released October 2 also showed that retail demand of 8.722 million b/d in the latest survey week represented a 0.7% uptick from the previous week.
