London—The following is a brief time line of BP’s Russian joint venture TNK-BP. BP inks $7 billion deal to form TNK-BP, one of the biggest foreign investments ever in Russia. TNK-BP receives a $1.3 billion back tax claim from the Russian authorities for 2002 and 2003. BP makes final share payment for 50% stake in TNK-BP. Total amount comes to $8 billion including $1.35 billion paid to AAR for the inclusion of a 50% stake in producer Slavneft.
