Russian producers form ‘oil club’ for industry debate

Moscow—The heads of Russia’s largest oil producers have established an informal group to consider pressing issues in the industry, a so-called “Oil Club,” Rosneft said June 8. The club will meet on a regular basis, possibly once a month, but if there are pressing issues they could meet more frequently. “The club’s participants believe that such a format of discussions meets the companies’ interests, will ensure improving effectiveness of cooperation and will have a positive effect for consumers,” Rosneft, Russia’s biggest oil producer, said in a statement.
