Mumbai—Indian refiner Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited is looking to spot cargoes to make up for a shortfall caused by lower crude imports from Iran in July as well as tapping additional volumes from countries like Saudi Arabia, and the UAE with which it has term contracts, MRPL Managing Director P.P. Upadhya said July 27. Upadhya said MRPL was only able to obtain one crude cargo in July from Iran compared with the four planned, and tapped Azerbaijan for one crude cargo for July and one more for August.
