BP sells $1 billion Wyoming gas assets to Linn Energy

BP has agreed to sell its gas-centric interestsin the Jonah and Pinedale fields of Wyomingto Linn Energy for $1.025 billion in cash, thecompanies said June 25.The deal includes BP’s operations center inSublette County, Wyoming, and all of its work-ing interests in about 260 operated wells thatproduce 80,000 Mcf equivalent/d and non-operated wells that produce 66,000 Mcfe/d.BP said the sale, which is expectedto close by July 31, does not include itsupstream production operations in Moxa andWamsutter, Wyoming.
