PTTEP ‘draws the line’ under Montara spill

Singapore—PTTEP Australasia, a subsidiary of Thailand’s PTT Exploration and Production, has finally drawn the line under the 2009 Montara oil spill, having pleaded guilty to four charges in the Darwin Magistrates’ Court for its responsibility in the incident. Charges were laid against PTTEPAA in August 2012 by the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority to conclude all legal matters related to the Montara incident.
