Cairn India farms in to South Africa oil and gas block

Mumbai—Cairn India has made its first acquisition outside the Indian subcontinent by signing a farm-in agreement for a 60% stake in offshore Block 1 in South Africa’s Orange Basin with South African national oil company PetroSA. Cairn India is majority owned by Londonbased minerals and metals group Vedanta Resources.
