Essar, rIL October exports up 18% at 4.46 million mt

Singapore—India’s private refiners Reliance Industries Limited and Essar Oil collectively shipped around around 4.46 million mt (about 1.13 million b/d) of refined products to overseas markets in October, coming off September’s all-time high of 1.23 million b/d, according to shipping data compiled by Platts. Platts revised the September export figure to 1.23 million b/d from the 1.24 million b/d published earlier, but it remains the highest on record. The October shipments were nearly 18% higher than the corresponding month of 2011, Platts records show.
