TransCanada selected for Coastal GasLink

Vancouver—TransCanada has landed the biggest infrastructure job yet from Canadian natural gas producers who plan to start exporting LNG to the Asia-Pacific basin. The Calgary-based company said June 5 it has been selected to build, own and operate the 420-mile Coastal GasLink pipeline from Dawson Creek, in northeastern British Columbia, to a planned liquefaction and tanker terminal at Kitimat on the Pacific coast for the Shell Canada-operated LNG Canada project.
