Reliance seeks to resolveKG-D6 cost recovery issue

Mumbai—Reliance Industries Limited, opera-tor of the deepwater KG-D6 block in India’seastern offshore Krishna Godavari Basin, hasfiled a petition with the Supreme Court seek-ing the appointment of an arbitrator on behalfof the oil ministry to resolve the issue of costrecovery at the block, a company spokesmansaid April 18.RIL had issued an arbitration notice to theoil ministry in November after media reportssaid that the government was likely to penal-ize the company over falling gas output fromthe KG-D6 block by limiting its cost recoveryfrom the asset.
