Argentina goes to WTO over Spain’s biodiesel limits

London—Argentina has officially notified the World Trade Organization of a request for a consultation with the European Union that could lead to an international trade dispute following Spain’s decision to restrict biodiesel imports from the South American country. Argentina argues that a Spanish government order approved in April will effectively discriminate against biodiesel imports from the South American country in favor of those produced in the 27-nation EU bloc.
