Nagarjuna Oil pushes back refinery start-up

New Delhi—Nagarjuna Oil Corp. Ltd., part of the privately-held Nagarjuna Group, has delayed the commissioning of its refinery at Cuddalore in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu due to funding issues and after the project site was hit by a cyclone last year. The project, which has been on the drawing board since 2006, was expected to be commissioned in December 2011 with commercial operations targeted for March 2012, but this was later pushed back to commissioning in late 2012 and operational start up in the first half of 2013.
