Poland eyes plan to build LNG export plant

Warsaw-The government of Poland, which is pinning its hopes on producing vast volumes of shale gas later this decade, believes the country should begin preparations now for the construction of an LNG liquefaction and export facility at the same site as its planned LNG import terminal. Poland is largely dependent on imports of Russian gas to meet its needs, but given the supply disruptions in recent years has begun building an LNG import terminal to diversify gas deliveries.
