Deutsche Bank economist set to head EIA

Washington-President Barack Obama has nominated Deutsche Bank chief energy econo- mist Adam Sieminski to head up the Energy Information Administration, drawing praise from a wide range of lawmakers, traders and energy industry insiders. Sieminski, who has been with Deutsche Bank since 1998, would replace Acting Administrator Howard Gruenspecht. EIA is the statistical arm of the Energy Department, producing closely followed reports on US and international energy production, consumption, reserves, prices and other trends.
