US June net imports of crude, products up 3%: EIA

Washington—US dependence on imported petroleum climbed in June, with net imports of crude and refined products averaging 8.184 million b/d, according to data released August 30 by the Energy Information Administration. June’s net imports were about 3% higher than those in May and 11% higher than a 16-year-low set in April, when net imports dropped to 7.37 million b/d.
