Italy, Greece, Albania approve TAP gas line

London—The governments of Italy, Greece and Albania have confirmed their provisional support for the TransAdriatic Pipeline (TAP) gas project with a memorandum of understanding signed September 27 in New York. The agreement allows the detailed permitting and regulatory procedures to go ahead, and paves the way for a formal inter-governmental agreement setting out the legal framework for the TAP pipeline. The pipeline will bring gas across Greece and Albania, crossing the Adriatic Sea, and landing in Italy.
