Taiwan plans to build third LNG terminal

Taipei—Taiwan plans to build a third LNGreceiving terminal with a capacity of around 5million mt/year, to meet a planned increasein natural gas use, an official from Taiwan’sBureau of Energy, Ministry of EconomicAffairs, told Platts March 13.The government aims to increase natu-ral gas usage to 14 million mt by 2020, to16 million mt by 2025 and 20 million mt by2030, the official said.
