Singapore—A hostile joint bid for China GasHoldings by Sinopec and Chinese gas distribu-tor ENN Energy Holdings looks likely to bescuppered on increased resistance by the gasutility’s three largest shareholders.The three are UK-listed Fortune Oil, Beijinggas distributor Beijing Enterprises Holdingsand South Korea’s SK Group.“I don’t see the deal happening. Bothsides are going in pretty much different direc-tions now. It is all a matter of price,” a HongKong-based analyst said June 18, referring tothe bidders and China Gas.
