Plains sets plans for meeting growing output

Houston—Midstream company Plains All American made several announcements August 6 that spotlight US infrastructure projects racing to meet the needs of burgeoning production. The company said it is nearing completion of crude oil pipeline projects that will add more than 200,000 b/d of new capacity in the Permian Basin of Texas and said new projects include a $125 million plan to build crude oil rail facilities in Colorado and Virginia. And it revealed a 50:50 joint venture with Enterprise Products Partners to service the Eagle Ford Shale play of South Texas that is supported by long-term commitments totaling 210,000 b/d.
