Wintershall brings North sea tight gas field on stream

London—Germany’s Wintershall has startedproduction from its K18-Golf tight gas field inthe Dutch North Sea and initially expects toproduce around 1 million cubic meters/d ofgas, it said in a statementWintershall, a subsidiary of chemicalsgiant BASF, expects production from a secondwell to begin next summer, which will main-tain plateau output at 1-1.4 million cu m/d.The gas will be sent to Den Helder in theNetherlands via the Wintershall-operated WGTpipeline network.
