US retail gasoline demand down 3.5% from year ago

New York-US retail gasoline sales volume fell 3.5% in the survey week ended January 13 from the year-ago period, MasterCard Advi- sors said January 18. A total of 58.588 million barrels, or 8.37 million b/d, was pumped in the most recent survey week. The four-week moving average posted a 3% decline year on year to 59.554 million barrels.
