Russia’s Rosneft reports Rb8 billion net loss for Q2

Moscow—Russia’s biggest oil producer, Rosneft, has posted a net loss of Rb8 billion ($248 million) for the second quarter after a first quarter profit of Rb112 billion, the company said August 1. Rosneft did not provide year-on-year comparisons for its second quarter results. The company reported its financial and operational results for the second quarter under IFRS standards, in line with Russian legislation, having switched from US GAAP standards that it used to report second quarter results in 2011.
