sinochem to acquire Total's Colombia unit

London-Total has agreed to sell its Colom- bian affiliate TEPMA to China's Sinochem, allowing the French major to focus on explora- tion assets in Colombia with higher potential, Total said February 8. The French company said it already had sold 5% working interests in the Ocensa pipeline in Colombia to Petrominerales and Cepsa last July, and that the combined value of the three transactions amounted to "about $1 billion."
