New York—NYMEX crude oil and refined product futures settled sharply lower November 2 as the Port of New York reopened to all commercial vessels, including potentially foreignflagged tankers due to a Jones Act waiver, and pipelines resumed deliveries in the North east in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. December heating oil settled 8.58 cents lower at $2.9474/gal after the contract dipped to a three-month low of $2.9438/gal. Decembe RBOB settled 6 cents lower at $2.5736/gal. December crude settled down $2.23 a $84.86/barrel. ICE December Brent ended $2.49 lower at $105.68/b.
