IEA reduces 2012 world oil demand forecast

London-The International Energy Agency has further cut its estimates of world oil demand growth for 2012 after signs that the global economic slowdown took a bigger than expected toll on consumption during the final quarter of 2011. In its latest monthly oil report, the IEA also warned January 18 that Europe's sover- eign debt crisis could drag upcoming growth forecasts lower, further threatening the oil demand outlook.
