New York—NYMEX October crude futures settled 69 cents higher at $99/b September 14 on continued momentum from the US Federal Open Market Committee’s third round of quantitative easing, while geopolitical tensions remained in the background. The October crude contract pushed to a four-month high during overnight trade of $100.42/b.
