Knoxville, Tennessee—A 47-Bcf natural gas injection to storage was the largest in eight weeks, coming in well above expectations and boosting US stocks to 3.308 Tcf, the Energy Information Administration said August 23. Most analysts had predicted a build between 36 Bcf and 40 Bcf for the week ending August 17. A year earlier, EIA reported a 66-Bcf injection, while the five-year average is 53 Bcf.
