Biodiesel makers press case for higher RFS mandate

Washington—Biodiesel producers from around the US met with representatives from the Obama administration and Congress June 5-6 to urge expansion of the national biodiesel mandate in 2013. More than 120 members of the National Biodiesel Board also came to lobby for an extension of the $1/gal biodiesel tax credit, which expired at the end of 2011. But the producers acknowledged that in an election year, small gains might have to suffice.
